We Love U.E.A. (Fall Break)

I never realized how great U.E.A is. The Fall weather is so perfect. I love to put on a sweater and go outside for a walk or to play at a park, although this year there is no need for sweaters, it has been a perfect weekend. On Thursday my family decided we wanted to go to Gardner's Village to enjoy the activities they were having there. We thought it was the perfect idea, so did a million other people. There was no where to park, not even at the back of the back of the line, so we left. It was lunch time so we went to Artic Circle and then came home. We did stop at this house my sister had found where an old guy was selling pimpkins in his front yard. He had a 1930 Ford pickup that was so amazingly cool, full of pumpkins so the kids all climbed in for a picture.

Aren't they cute?

Then on Thursday my sister in law called and wanted to feed the ducks at the Paul Reams Wilderness park. This was a fabulous idea, we avoided crowds and the kids got out of the house. But let me tell you, these ducks were crazy. It was like they hadn't been fed for weeks. As soon as we crossed the bridge into the main part of the park the ducks came running at us. They wouldn't leave us alone, the big white ducks were kind of scary with how aggressive they were. They knew we had bread, and they wanted it now! The kids loved it because usually when we go to this park the ducks have had so much to eat that they ignore any efforts to feed them. What a perfect day.

All the ducks swarming around us.

Little Jake trying to get in on the action, got bumped down by one of the ducks. (He is half way down to the ground).

The big white scary ducks.

I love your new background for Halloween - way cute! I have always wanted to go to Gardner Village; maybe I will just have to wait until after the Holidays until the crowd dies down! I need to take Izzy to feed the ducks, she would love that!
